We’re in! (conditionally)

We’re in! (conditionally)

We can live in our house!  On Oct 31 we got a conditional occupancy permit and are free to move in.  We still have a few things to do before the building inspector will give his final approval, but we can move in! (and who needs proper stair railings anyways?).

In any case, we’re still living in the trailer while we do a few final jobs, but now that my sister is living with us and we have a dog, we’ve got some good incentive to get cracking.

Here’s a few of those final jobs.

Painting (primer only so far,  because actual wall paint is for fancy folk )

Here’s a few shots of the house itself.

  1. I think you have done a fabulous job so far! Now keep going till it is done – haha.
I see alot of “window coverings” in your future or does it matter? Your Mom and
I can bring our sewing machines and go to town making curtains if you like. I want to come visit but need to be useful for sure!! Sewing is easier on the back then gardening!!
    Keep the photos coming!
    Love Auntie Shelley
