Winter Cove
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here!  So long that I’m not even going to try to make this an update, but instead I’ll just start with this weekend and move forward from here. Never look back they say!
We spent this weekend in Winter Cove, Saturna Island, which is truly a lovely place. Â We didn’t mean to go there, but when we set sail friday evening there was such a nice northwesterly blowing that we didn’t want to stop any sooner. Â We arrived a little after 9, just as the wind was dying down and this amazing sunset was happening. Â The kids were still awake in the v-berth, but conked out soon after the anchor went down.
The next day we set out along the shore and found this huge old stump and root-wad washed up on the rocks.
It was better than a playground!
The kids are also getting great at entertaining themselves on the boat.  We burn through a lot of paper and masking tape while underway, and after all the furious cutting it looks like someone was married on board, but everyone is happy and busy, so no complaints.
For a while this weekend they were both birds. Â Different species I think based on the two different kinds of plumage.
